  • Wikis in Higher Education
While many university faculty, across all disciplines, have incorporated online technologies such as discussion boards into their classes, wikis have not gained the same kind of buy-in. An Open Space discussion about the potential role of wikis in higher education might be useful--talking about encouraging colleagues to try them, or sharing particularly useful assignments.
What kinds of new assignments are made possible in a wiki? How do wiki (or wiki-style) platforms change the horizon of possibility of traditional assignments? What role can wikis play in liberal arts education? What concerns are raised by moving student work into a wiki, particularly one that's available online? (This is arguably related to the Junkies Like Us session.)
