WikiSym 2008 Sponsorship Program

WikiSym – The International Symposium on Wikis is the premier conference devoted to research and practice on wikis - lightweight, open, collaborative systems for recording and refining ideas and information.

WikiSym is an ACM SIGWEB conference and offers a rigorously reviewed research paper track, as well as plenty of space for practitioner reports, discussion of work in progress, demonstrations, tutorials, and informal, but lively, OpenSpace and WikiFest sessions.

This year’s conference (the fourth) will take place on 8-10 September 2008, in Porto, Portugal, following successful editions at San Diego (2005), Odense (2006), and Montreal (2007). Famous for its wine, its medieval quarters, and its storied history, Porto will provide a superb backdrop for innovation, discussion and wiki festivities, bringing together thought leaders from all over the world.

WikiSym 2008 is organized by FEUP – Faculty of Engineering of University of Porto, with the collaboration of INESC Porto. It is fiscally sponsored by The John Ernest Foundation , a U.S. non-profit tax-exempt organization.
